What is the wind direction and polarity of Seymour Duncan P-90 Pickups?

All Seymour Duncan  P-90 bridge pickups, including Phat Cats, are built with South Up polarity facing strings and counter-clockwise wind direction.

All Seymour Duncan neck P-90s are North Up, with clockwise wind direction, for hum-cancelling when combined with bridge pickups.

Our P-90 Stacks also follow this convention, for those who would like to split the stacks to single coil.

P-90 Silencer sets also have neck pickups with North polarity and bridge pickups with South polarity, to ensure phase consistency with other models of our P-90 line.

Seymour Duncan P-90 pickups should be in-phase with other manufacturers’ P-90 pickups.
